Rhythmic Metronome 1.1

This ad-free metronome allows the entry of custom rhythms to assist musicians in maintaining tempo for songs with intricate rhythms. Rhythms can range from whole notes to sixteenth notes, including dotted notes, triplets, ties, and rests of similar duration. Users can specify time signatures to emphasize the downbeat and slightly accentuate every second beat (or third beat in 6/8 time).

The tempo can be inputted via a keyboard, chosen from a drop-down list of Italian tempo markings, or adjusted using buttons. Both rhythm and tempo settings are savable within the application's memory. Additionally, rhythms can be copied to and pasted from the clipboard accessible via the import/export screen (accessed through the "floppy disc" button icon).

This metronome solely provides audio signals without visual cues. An advanced entry mode allows for the detailed input of notes, rests, and time signatures of arbitrary duration. For example, users can enter notations like "n1/32" for a thirty-second note, "n3/64" for a dotted thirty-second note, or "r1/64" for a sixty-fourth rest. Grouping of notes with parentheses is supported, and repetition of notes, rests, or groups can be achieved by appending an asterisk followed by a number.

Known bugs: The rhythm entry field does not support cursor movement by tapping or copy/pasting; users need to use keyboard arrow keys for navigation. To copy or paste, utilize the import/export screen (accessed through the "floppy disc" button icon). In case of application sleep, the rhythm entry may be replaced by "x"; it is advisable to save rhythms periodically and reload if needed.
